How do i get scholarship money for nursing school its too expensive and with gas prices its killing me?

Most schools have a financial aid office and a scholarship office. There are thousands of scholarships dollars out there that go unclaimed since no one applies. You should be able to find many large books with listings of aids you can get. If you are female, a minority, or have a low income then that increases the number of scholarships available to you. You should speak to the school you wish to go to as well as your current school since many schools offer money for nurses. Check your school paper, fliers or ask your professors.

If you're still in high school, go talk to your school's guidance counselor, who can help you to find out where to find some scholarships. Also, if you are enrolled in college already, talk to the finacial aid office at your school. A really good resource for scholarship leads is a website called www.fastweb.com.

Most schools have information on scholarships, grants and where to get them. Contact the school you're interested in and I'm sure they'll help you. Good plan going into nursing, here in Minnesota there is a shortage of RNs and they make BIG BUCKS!!
