I am having bad anxiet in nursing school. I feel overwhelmed. I am trying and?

feel I have no controll over the outcome. Because it's complicated. I had to stop working today to. I am so upset. Anyone ever feel this way. My weekend is all reading. I am alone all weekend, and couldn't go out if I wanted to.

Nursing school isnt easy, although there are some people out there who think it is. I studied for a minimum of four to five hours per DAY. my free time was spent studiny, not doing anything else, and working was pretty much impossible esp when the rotations started. (I used to go to rotation from 6:30 a.m and get off around 3 , then go bartend till 11 at night and study in between the two - Its tough and yes it is very stressful. Take alittle bit of time out for you each day. Sit in a quiet room, take some deep breaths, listen to slow music, take a bubble bath, things like that. My advice is don't study straight thru either, take breaks every hour or so, otherwise you will lose your attention span.

Just remember - this is only two years out of your entire life!! a bleep on the radar.... and then it will all be over and y ou will have a fabulous job and be able to do pretty much anything you want to after that.

Dont give up - Email if you want to chat or vent...good luck!

um get out a little ladie lifes tuff but it needs to been fun if nursing isnt what you want to do dont do it and work for your true desire as hannah montanna says "lifes what you make it so lets make it rock" i know its stupid but she sings some good advice and aso one of my saying " you gotta go through thorns to reach a rose" your pobably thinking well just your cutters and gloves but in realality life doesnt have cutters and gloves it has bare hands no easy way out

You do not have to overburden yourself. Take a little break. It will do you good. Studying is never easy. Any other course will get into the same situation. You just have to deal with it. But remember, all the sacrifices we do today will ensure our bright future so be patient. Stay focused.

relax sugar..! it is so normal to be anxious in nursing school.. trust me.( i am a nurse who just got home from a 12 hour shift)... nursing school is supposed to be hard and i don't care who you are..it gets to you! hang in there.. it will be the best thing you will ever do for yourself!! that is why nurses are so protective of their skills and knowledge because you pay your dues for that license!! relax and keep your eye on graduation.. which will come faster then you think.. and you will be so happy and proud!! the thrill of nursing.. not to mention the good income...is worth every bit of anxiety in the long run.. good luck!!

OMG STAR! yeah i'm a pre nursing student trying to get into school and i've heard SOOOOOOO many stories - if you don't mind, can you share more of your experiences with me? (just email me if you have the chance, just vent it out and it'll make you feel better while i get some insight ;)

ANYHOO, no one said it was gonna be easy, i'm sure like me, you've heard stories before getting into it...i went to alot of info sessions and i know alot of nurses (family friends and my mom) and what they said to do is just go otuside and read a magazine for 10 minutes :) that will just calm you down for a little or auromatherapy is usually good...just rub lotion on your hands, listen to music and lay down for a bit - do simple, little, inexpensive things to keep you calm and relaxed...if you have time, go to the mall and go to one of those stores with massage chairs and just sit haha

just remember, you're already where you wanna be - there are millions of people who would kill to be in your position right now, i know you're happy about that and glad but just keep remembering that it will be worth it in the end - just hang in there and the reward will be worth it and satisfying - DON'T GIVE UP - do this for all the nursing students and other students who wanna get IN to nursing! haha naaah naaah, just do it for yourself - good luck! :)

i understand how you feel hun. all you need when you feel overwhelmed is a break. talk to a real person. maybe make some tea and listen to some lite music to relaxe
