I am planning to go to nursing school but i have no money and i have a nine month old daughter?

I am planning to go to nursing school but i have no money and i have a nine month old daughter?

dont allow having a small child and no money be an excuse not to follow your dreams or pursue your goals, and dont let anyone tell you that it cant be done, their are pell grants i am sure you would qualify for and if you do not have someone you trust to take care of your child, their are always daycare, and you can get help with that threw your local social services.if you want it bad enough than you can do it!!!!!!!!!

contact the school of your choice and ask for financial help/grants they are out there and the more questions you ask and the more information you gain, the better chance you will have of reaching your goal. Best Of Luck!! I am sure your little one is so proud of her Mommy!!

your question should read, I am going on welfare, but would rather go to nurseing school, are their any agencies to help me with grants? And yes their are, contact your local red cross or food stamp agencies.

maybe you can get and grant/or and student load

Check with your financial aid department at the school you plan to attend. Also, have any paperwork regarding your last year taxes available. You will need those figures when filling out the financial aid forms. Also, there are many grants available but you do have to do your part and do a little research of the school and surrounding areas. The money is there, we just have to learn to take advantage of it. Plus, don't forget, grants are monies to further our careers and grants don't have to be paid back as financial aid loans. Scholarships are also available. Please speak to your financial aid advisor. They know all of these things and can help you on your road to success.

I honestly don't know how to answer your question, but I do know that your type of problem was never an issue for my nursing classmates whom I graduated with a few years ago. Some gave birth during the semester and only took a weeks leave.

If you really want it, that information is out there. Seriously. Over half my nursing classmates were mothers and they were on that "low income" program. Sorry, I forgot the name of that program. Point is, that help is out there.

Please don't give up!! For the meantime, you can at least take some classes to keep the momentum going and at the same time research how to get aid.
