I am transferring to a private nursing school. Though it is called an institue. What is the difference?

Private nursing school called an institute. Er... this might not be a good idea. Or, it's fine and dandy.

Sometimes Institute just means a technical school (a couple come to mind - VMI, Illinois Institute of Technology, Virginia Polytechnic Institute, etc). As nursing is a life science with lab requirements, this might be okay. However, if this is a private, FOR-Profit school (ITT or DeVry or the like), you should seriously take some time and reconsider. You may be better off attending your Community College for a degree with a better reputation and a lot less money.

Make sure...
1) it is a not-for-profit school.
2) it is accredited by an governing body for higher education. If you are not sure if their accrediting body is "real", then see what else has been accredited by them - you can figure this out pretty quickly.
3) it does not have a stock ticker symbol.
4) if in doubt, call a local hospital, and find out about its reputation. These are the guys who are going to hire you, and if they think it is a scam, then your degree may be worthless when you are looking for a job.

ProjectX - just draw pictures, one for each pizza. You know the radius or diameter of each, so you have the pieces to solve the puzzle. Math is not hard - just draw a picture and label the info that you know.

I've been really "ok" in geometry I see it as a easy concept but I don't cleary see the idea. I understand the conjectures but apply em. Is a different story.
(I've been sitting here on my desk for about 2hours thinking outside and no luck with this problem, please solve this and explain why.)

With your state accept their diploma. If so that is fine.

Institutes, as a rule, don't offer solids that are usually required for an AA or BA, such as English, Political Science.

Institutes, as a general rule, may not use teachers that are fully accredited, such as AA and BA nurses, which can teach, but don't hold MS degrees.

The BIG question is, does YOUR state recognized THAT INSTITUTE'S DEGREE
