Why do people thinking getting into nursing school is so easy, when the opposite is quite true?

The last time I applied to my program (I did get in, thank you very much), there were about 7 applications for every space available. It is NOT easy. You must have excellent grades. There are not enough schools to meet the needs of the shortage.

They just don't know what they are talking about, that's why!

Because it's really hard for some people to put themselves in other's shoes!

I guess you had trouble getting in nursing school. Its really not that difficult if you apply yourself.

personally, I think it's easy because I know a lot of not so smart women who got in and graduated too - nursing seems to be very popular, so many people do it

It is easy to get into nursing school because there is such a shortage of nurses. However, that doesn't mean nursing school is easy itself as there's a lot of training involved. A good nurse is priceless these days.

People who are the surest of something are the ones that have never done it.

Probably because they're comparing it to med school, which is ridiculously difficult. Unfair, but what can you do?

It depends on what school you are applying to. It is simple here. We have a VERY good nursing department.
