How important are math skills during nursing school? |
i love health sciences, but hate math with a passion! Well you will need math for your chemistry courses and in terms of being a nurse math will be important in the sense that you will be dealing with measurements on a daily basis so you should know how to convert different units of measure. LOTS of math. Advanced Algebra. Physics is another fun class you get to take. You had better take a look at the classes before you decide that is the career you want. There is a truck load more than just health classes........How are you in Chemistry? My sister-in-law hated math also, but she said during nursing school you need it A LOT!!! that & chemistry. If you want to a nurse, I suggest you suck it up & do your absolute best in your math & chem classes. You can hate math AFTER you get your nursing degree.... Good Luck.. |
