I am a US citizen attending nursing school in another country. What are the requirements to take the NCLEX? no matter what state you go through you will need ATT (authorization to test) from a state board of nursing.... they send the att electronicly to testing center & also mail or email att to you....before any board will give you att, they will need to assess your education & you will need to send in application. ... each state is different but generally they require you to go through CGFNS for the evaluation of your education.... check each state board website and try to avoid any state that requires "certificate" program through cgfns.... i have heard over & over again that the best & easiest state is new york..... good luck.....fyi, most states look for AT LEAST 450 hours theory & 750 hours of clinical overall plus they will look to see that you covered the various subjects ( remember each state is a little different ) |
