I have a year of nursing school left. I am feeling unmotivated. Will all this be worth it? If you chose nursing for the right reasons, then yes, by all means, stick with it. Some people choose the nursing profession for monetary reasons only. If your heart is not in it, you may not be happy or good at it. yes, naturally.. Stick it out! That is one of the best jobs you can have right now. High demand (which will continue increasing) and good pay. It's worth it - don't quit! Wow, I wouldn't want you to be my nurse if I was in the hospital. You either love it or you don't. Good thing you aren't studying to become a doctor with all this unmotivation. why don't you contact someone in the nursing field and see how much they like it. it will give you a chance to ask any questions, get a real life opportunity and that way you can see if the field is still what you want. I am a nurse, and I love it....it is the best thing that I could have done. Once you get out there, and really start getting your hands dirty and feel the feeling....its just the best. Like any other job...its work, and you can burn out for sure....but its just a great thing to be...Congrats...and good luck. Heck yeah! up to 75 k per year!, and you can hook up with rich docter too, plus you will have waisted all this time too. Nursing, the actual occupation will bury you if you're feeling unmotivated in preparing for it. Smarten up. I think you will definitely find that nursing school was worth it. Nurses are in high demand right now. You stand to make a great living financially by helping others. In addition, careers in nursing are highly diverse... you can choose the type of work environment that is best suited to your liking. Good luck and hang in there! It will be worth it if you go ahead and get your RN. If you only get your LVN or LPN, you will be screwed over your entire career. They do the exact same thing that the RNs do but only get paid half of the price. Yes! |
