How many first years apply to penn's nursing school? how many are accepted? what about NYU nursing?

How many first years apply to penn's nursing school? how many are accepted? what about NYU nursing?

I would check out both schools websites where they tell you what is the likelihood of you based on your GPA, class rank, and SAT scored whether or not you will get accepted into their programs. However, why would you want to go to either school to get a degree in nursing when you can get as good an education and if not better at your local state school that has a nursing program for much less cost. There are just some major's (like mine in education) that just don't make any sense to go to an ivy league or competitive private school (like an NYU) for. A nursing student from Upenn isn't going to have any advantage over a nursing student from Penn State. In reality it will be the Penn State grad who will have the advantages because they carry less college debt. Just something you should think about.

Good Luck!!!

Neither of the web sites linked below have the statistics you are interested in. Several considerations will have an impact on your success. Completion of prerequisites with a high grade point. Prior health care experience such as a CNA. Letters of recommendation from alumni or other well-qualified nurses.
You might also consider applying for community college nursing programs. Once you obtain a ADN, you could then enter the BSN program. As a RN, I highly recommend obtaining the BSN. Good Luck
