I plan on going to nursing school soon but am unsure if i want to quit my current full time day job or not.? If your current job is dealing with nursing you shouldn't quit. Can you do both? Maybe go to school parttime at night, or ask to work parttime. My impression is that you will not be able to hold down a full-time job and go to nursing school. But check with the nursing school you plan to attend to see if they have a program for part-time students. At minimum, if your job is full time, you should probably cut down to part time-work unless you have enough money saved up to live off of it. However, odds are if you have enough money to live off of that you will have to pay some of it towards tuition. There are a lot of nursing scholarships due to the shortage. At minimum, you should review your expenses and talk to a financial aid officer to view your college financial aid options. here is the question do you need to support yourself??? Do you need the money? If not, go ahead and quit... Do what you think is right |
