Nurse: When you first graduated from NURSING SCHOOL: How much was your first hourly rate offer?? |
im from michigan graduating this year, i just want an idea.......thanks for answering!!! When I first graduated from nursing school my first hourly wage offer was $6.20 an hour including a $.60 per hour BSN differential. a close friend had a daughter enter nursing with a four year RN degree and she started at $20 per hour a few years ago. It was a mid-sized town not a large one so take that into consideration. The current starting pay for a new graduate at my hospital is right around $26 per hour base, not including shift premiums for evenings or nights. It doesn't matter what unit you work on, what matters is your experience level. I justt graduated and I am making $20.98 base pay. I think that sucks, i almost asked this same question! BTW, i am in Florida. |
