Is it a right way to apply for the school of nursing?

I have done some research but am still confused about the admission process to school of nursing. http://www.nursing.uconn.edu/index.php?o...
Please take a look at this website of the school tha tI wish to attend. If you see the question "How do I apply to the school of nursing," you will see that the answer says that the incoming freshmen must declare nursing as major in the application. Does it mean that once the applicant is accepted, he or she doesn't have to go through another adimssion to take BSN program? If yes, then why does it say that one of the requirements to the school of nursing is the pre-requisite classes, which are taken in freshman year? I am so confused. Please help me and a through answer will be nice. Thank you.

Have you been to school at all or have an RN/LVN? I ask that because for a BSN you need an RN first (I just wanted to add that if you didn't know, sorry if you did) I know in California where I am, I had to take 2 years or pre-req's and then I could sign up for the program. I think what yours is saying is that when you sign up for school you have to say your major is nursing. that doesnt mean you are in the nursing program itself, just that you have chosen what you are going to do and that is what you are working for then when yo uare done with that you will be able to go ahead with all the other nursing things. What you have ot go through is much different thatn what I have had to do.. You should call the school and ask or make an appointment with a counselor. Good luck with it!
