Looking to go to school for nursing, not sure if I can do it ! I would like some information clinical placemen |
I would like to know about the yukky stuff you do in school while being a nursing student? I need to know if I could do this stuff. Any info on Bscn of practical nursing? Try the University of Western Ontario's Department of nursing website: you should get a lot of answers on this one! first--you can handle a lot of things you'd never expect, and some things you can't take that you thought would be no problem (for some it is mucous or vomit, i can't handle the smell of a yeast infection!) you'll learn to give shots, put your finger up someone's rear to give a suppository or dig out an impaction, measure pee, see blood and wounds and learn to clean and treat them, at some point get sprayed with stomach contents through a tube you didn't close off right...as far as the gross stuff, if it is in the body or can come out of it in any possible way, you will deal with it in more ways than one. and when you're done you'll realize it's not so intimidating after all. |
