Is there any kind of aid or programs for a single mom in nursing school who needs emergeny help paying a? |
daycare bill for my son? I have lost my job and receive no financial help. He attends a catholic daycare that has given me 3 weeks to pay or he can't come back. If I have no solution, I'll be out of school and I am half way done. I have received scholarships and a Pell grant that paid my tuition. The state will not aid in daycare costs for college, only work. I have a social worker. Have you contacted the local workforce office in your area? The agency cares about helping single parents become more self sufficient and should have an emergency fund. They can help with childcare, food stamps, WIC, medicaid (health insurance), and cash assistance. They should be in the blue pages of the telephone book under state government services or agencies.
