Is it to late for me to go to nursing school? I'm 28, married, have two children and work a full time job. |
Is it to late for me? Should I just stick with the field I'm in which is also a good field or should I follow what my dream was an become an RN?! Has anyone else been married, had children, worked a full time job and went to school?! My wife left her decent paying job last year to enroll full time in a nursing school. shes turning 33 this september. we too have two kids. Its tough, but youll get thru it. good luck! its NEVER too late to get an education NO it never to late to do somthing in your life. It is never too late! Do what you need for your family or just because you want to don't let anyone or anything tell you it's too late! It is never too late to better yourself! of coure not ur never to old 2 follow ur dreams u could b 102 and id still say u should go 4 it nope its never to late to go to school..it might be expensive...tho...there are a few good schools for nursing programs... It is never too late to go back to school. There is a 90 year old woman out there who is still going to school. So sweetie.....CHASE YOUR DREAM!!!! do you realize the waiting list that is out there to be accepted into a RN program. Call the school your looking to enroll into and ask them how long their waiting list is, that should give you an answer!! It's never too late. You have to find a way to juggle your job, kids and school ... hopefully you have a strong support system (family, friends, etc) to assist you in achieving your dream career. With children? Good luck! You would have to give up your job completely in order to enter the nursing program which is very demanding. Also, your kinds would have to be self sufficient (16 or older), and your husband would have to bear the whole financial responsibility. If this is so, go ahead. It is never too late to follow your dream. I met someone who went back to nursing school in her late 40's and is doing wonderfully. Of course it will be difficult to balance, but if it means enough to you then you should do it! No you should not feel bad for trying to do more for yourself. Go head and go to nursing school your husband and kids should understand if not just have a family meeting and talk it out and let them now how important it is to you and what can come out of it for you and them also. Are you kidding???? It is never too late. If its your dream then nothing else will make you happy. I am 33 and i hope to do a degree in Occupational Therapy, I am not at all daunted by my age. I may be forty by the time i am done, but i will still have another 40 good years ahead of me. No, It is never to late I am a 24 year old mother of a 4 year old as well as a 2yr old and I went and got my Medical Assist anting diploma and graduated with honors and I am going to school in the fall for my RN. If It would make you feel better my sister is 27 and she also has two kids. She worked full time and attended school part time and she now has a four degree and is a teacher and she is currently working on her masters so put you mind to it and do it and I promise, you will be the best in your class because you have two little ones to think about and more at risk so you will take your studies more seriously. Do it for yourself and for your family. Believe me it is worth it. It would be difficult until the children are older. Nursing school requires clinical time in the hospital at all hours. How does your husband view this. I personally think your plate is full right now. You wouldnt want to neglect your children would you? They will be grown before you know it but they need YOU now. It's never to late. As long as you put your mind to it, have the backing of family and friends, you can accomplish anything. Good Luck. Live Life to the Fullest and Enjoy Every Minute of It... |
