Wats the most a nurse can make fresh out of nursing school with a 4.0GPA? |
there is really no detail here just wanted to know if a nurse fresh out of nursing school can make 70000 a year. there is really no detail here just wanted to know if a nurse fresh out of nursing school can make 70000 a year. just a basic nuring position maybe helping out a surgeon or two and gone through nursing school graduated with a 4.0 basically just helping out the doctors. Highly unlikely you'll be making 70k. my friend with a much lower GPA made 57K starting. this of course depends on where you live and which hospital you work for. probably not 70k Depends on the area, externship the BSRN specialized in, etc. nurses are usually a set rate - sometimes union and your grade point will have no bearing on pay. If you are talking about anRN position, I don't know if any nurses make that much without working more than 40 hrs a week From working as an intern in the HR department in a hospital, I can tell you that your gpa will have no impact on your starting salary. All new hires have a set rate, which may be adjusted upward if you have any previous experience. As far as how much you will make, it all depends on location and the type of setting you work in (ex. hospital vs. nursing home, etc.) I live in north Louisiana. My first year of employment as an RN I made right at 50K. that was in 2003. The base salary has increased since then. That is w/overtime. New grads here start @ 19.00- 20.00/hr, but there are shift differentials 4.00/hr after 3pm 2.00/hr on weekends. GPA has no effect on wage. I made over 70k my third year. That was working OT. Approx. 10 hours per pay period. Hope this helps. |
