Starting nursing school and Im nervous!?

I'm starting nursing school next week and I'm very nervous. How should I prepare? What should I expect? Any advise? Thanks!

Congrats!!! Remember everyone else is going to be feeling the way you are, its normal and expected. Good luck to you!

Thats exciting!

Yeah!! I am so happy for you!!! It is very natural to be nervous because you are starting off on your journey to such a fulfilling and exciting career!

How to prepare and such? Just keep your notes organized, study as much as you can and remember that there is a light at the end of the tunnel when things look so overwhelming! Every nurse has gone through the same thing!

Study and try to be as on hands as possible, and don't be afraid to ask questions if you don't understand

I wanted to congratulate you as well :) It is normal to be nervous when starting any type of school let alone nursing school ;) You will do just fine :-) Someone mentioned keeping one's notes organized which can only make learning and studying that much 'easier'. Making note/index cards for exams can really help one to study especially new (or reviewing) vocab words. The larger index cards are easier on the hand (and eyes ;) Study groups can be a great big help if people can coordinate their schedule or even a 'study buddy'.

Making up mock/practice tests can really help for exams especially in the format that the instructor prefers such as true/false, fill in the blank, matching, multiple choice, short essay or such. One can perhaps see where weaknesses occur and study that info more. You may also find reading easier to read books such as from the children's section at the library and/or bookstore to help put terminology into layperson's terms.
