Nursing school for RN?

When in nursing school what was the part you disliked the most.
What made it hard, what made it worth staying in.
Can you give me an idea please

The hardest thing was to cram as much into my head as I could every day so that when I walked into a patient's room I knew something about what I was doing. It is the pace that makes it hard. There is so much to know. Never be afraid to ask if you are not sure of something.

Making a mistake in health care can have tragic results. The learning curve has to be steep. Ask questions. Lots of questions. Never assume. Every nurse in that hospital knows how little you really know as a nursing student because they once were one. They expect that you will ask instead of 'winging it'.

What makes it worth it? That part is easy. I have been a nurse now for 18 years. There are litterally thousands of lives that I have impacted in a positive way. Everything from a kindness at a time when they really needed it to performing CPR and saving their life. Because I was a nurse I know there are families and communities that are better than they would be if I had chosen something else. I have work that makes a difference.
