Nursing school physical and depression? |
I start nursing school in March. I have to have a physical done before I start classes. I am guessing that my doctor will want to put major depresive disorder on the paprework. Will this in anyway effect my schooling? Legaly I mean...can they keep me from going to school? They can let you into school, but some states won't let you get your lisense if you have a history of depression. Talk to your school or your state board of nursing to see if depression is something that will keep you from being a nurse. no they can not keep you from school legally yes if you have a major depressive disorder it will effect you standing. |

I am also applying for nursing school spring of 2008. I graduated from the University of Florida's nursing program 2 years ago and I remember to this very day the first round of exams and that first semester of nursing school.
