I need help! Nursing school and pregnancy?

So I am pretty sure that I am pregnant and I am taking a test in the morning. I was trying to get pregnant for a while and I was also trying to get into nursing school. I just got into a nursing school and it is exactly where I wanted to go. Its 2 years and not too expensive, school starts in Jan. With my last 2 pregnancies I was really sick and couldn't work or go to school. So now I don't know what to do. I got into this school that I wanted to go to but if I am pregnant and get sick I won't be able to attend and I already gave them a non-refundable tuition deposit. I wanted to get into the school but I have wanted to have a baby for a long time now too. Help!

What happened was, I was trying to get pregnant and found the school after. It almost happened at the same time! But thanks everyone!

I don't know how you personally will be but I will tell you what I have seen. I am a nursing student and have seen several students go through pregnancy. I would say first off though that you should try to start college. That way you can always take a semester off later, but if you dont go right now then later you will have to reapply etc to get in (plus, as you said, you cant get your tuition back anyhow). The girls I saw basically went to school up until they gave birth (maybe took a week off before). if you go, make sure you talk to your teachers about how they deal with absences and making up work. Most teachers are really good about it. Then as I said, you can always take time off to be with your new baby later, you'll just graduate a little later than planned. Good luck with everything!

Every pregnancy is different. This one might be a blessing and not cause you to be sick.
Do both.
It's possible.
Good for you and your goals!!

I would go to school! College is important and if you dont go now, you may not go later! You'll be fine. As long as you dont over do it, it'll work out. Maybe you arent pregnant

Should have planned this better, just go to school sick like I did. Good Luck!

Make your mind up and focus on one or the other...you may not be sick this time around ...keep in close contact with your doctor to make the most of it to monitor you throughout...it is not an easy road ahead in nursing school or as mother of a small chiold with the demands of nursing school...good luck!!!!

Well looks like either way (baby and your money already paid) -- the shows must go on! Do the best you can one class at a time.

Why didnt you wait till school was over before getting pregant again if you know for a fact you are going to get sick?
Well, hopefully this child will not give you morning sickness but everyone is diffrent so no one will know the true answer.
Some people I know had morning sickness with one child and not the other and some had it will all their children. I wish you the best of luck and congrats!
If your test is negitive however, concintrate on your school first then plan another child or else your life will be too hetic to handle

Ohhh COngratulations in getting into nursing school AND get'n pregnant hehe!!! YAY for you!!

I think you should definitely stay in nursing school...my friend who was pregnant and is studying to be a pharmacist had her baby last week and well I met her in school and she never once missed assignments or exams because she had her professors undestanding!!! soo talk to your intructors and I AM FOR SURE THEY WILL UNDERSTAND!!!

BEST OF LUCK TO YOU!!!
YAY!!!!

if you are sick in the morning then try to sign up for later classes. also talk to your doctor about it maybe they can give you some advise. you can do both it will be fine. also just mention it to your teachers. that way they will know and be more understanding.

It's definitely ok to study while you're pregnant unless you're under high-risk pregnancy category . Just lighten your load. Eat the prescribed diet. Have enough sleep and rest. Don't get too stressed. In simple words, lessen your academic loads so that you have enough time for school, for youself and for the little angel inside your womb. Also, consult your OB to know whether it's ok for your case to continue schooling.

Congrats on your pregnancy. I've been there.
Nursing school can be very demanding. If you decide to go to school. you don't want to tell them until you are actually in. Every pregancy can be different.
If your deposit is non-refundable I think that whole point is moot.
