Hepatitis B? |
My girlfriend is a training nurse. Today, one of her patient who has Hepatitis B vomited(no blood) it didn't hit her..but the paper tissue that is use to wipe the vomit accidentally hit her hand...her thumb to be exact to near to almost heal wound(dry) on her hand..so..when she wash it..and is there any chance of her getting the hepatitis B is if the vomit hit the wound?? She also completed her 3 hep b shots Hepatitis is a blood bourne virus so you need blood to blood contact to contract it - which she did not have. She is also immunised against it if she has had her pre-nursing hep-b vaccinations so stop panicking! Has she had the neddle ? she should be ok but get checked just incase. |
