Are there groups or organizations in the us, that will bring a foreigner here to train for a nurse job?

I just heard this somewhere, but it does not sound right. I believe that there is a nursing shortage here. Why would someone bring a individual here at their expense to train for a nursing job?

I'm not sure about bringing a foreigner over, but I know many hospitals will pay for an individual's education if they sign a contract to work for the hospital. Since their is a shortage hospitals are desperate for nurses even if it means they have to pay for their education.
