I Am About to train as a male nurse?

I am about to begin training to be a male nurse! Is anyone willing to offer me words of advice or support- I am so excited about starting my nursing career!

Thanks

That's great that you're choosing this profession. Keep patient focused, and study hard and you'll do just fine.

And lay off the whole "male nurse" thing. You'll learn rather quickly in nursing school that it's frowned upon to refer to yourself in that way, as if you're somehow different or special or set apart from female nurses, which you are not. :)

Where are you that they still refer to men who become nurses as "male nurse"? Do they still refer to women who become bricklayers as "female masons?"

Dude -- it's nursing. Yes, there are more women in the profession then men, but it's just a profession.

Words of advice: A nurse is a nurse. Gender is irrelevant.

Don't kill any one.

Tell the first dude to shut up. Its a great accomplishment because most people are so stupid and think that you can't be a male nurse. There is a shortage of nurses let alone male nurses SO DO A GREAT JOB AND REPRESENT FOR ALL THE MEN!

I think it's a great deal. Congratulations, it's a big step, I really admire you, I wanted to do it, but not strong enough. Good luck and whatever happens, DON'T GIVE UP!!
