I am a full time ODP student (same as nursing students) who pays 拢70 pounds a week commuting to london.? |
I recieve an NHS bursary. They tell me I can only claim travel expenses if the hospital I train at is further away from the uni, and I would only be able to claim for the difference. British rail tell me I cannot get a student discount on weekly season tickets. A young persons travecard doesn't discount on season tickets or tickets at peak times. Is there anybody or any organization that could help me with travel costs. Many thanks. I didn't mean individuals! If you're really having financial problems you can see the welfare officer at your college. Colleges have discretionary limited access funds they award to students who would not be able to complete their courses without them. It is always worth asking, if you haven't done so already.
