What do I need to do to become an activities assistant in a nursing home in North East Ohio? |
I want to work in the activities dept in a nursinghome and I need to know what kind of training I need to take. That's a good question, seems to me that they just hire energetic people that are creative.. I've worked in several nursing homes and have never known what qualifications these people have. I'd call around to the local homes and ask the activities director what they are looking for in an assistant, and what kind of training you would need.. Heck, it may land you a job (if you're lucky) and you'll get some on-the-job-training.. |
