What would be a good career choice for an older woman 46 that doesn't require a long training period.? |
I've already thought of the nursing field but would like some other suggestions. I think it would be best for you to seek professional counseling since this is such a big decision. First look at what you are good at, what you like, and what your current level of education is. All of these can be brought together with what the predicted job market is and you can have a good idea what to choose. Many unemployment offices will have counseling services perhaps you should check there. (At 46 years old you are in the prime of life). Nursing takes a long training period! - over 2 years! - secretary work, accounting, book keeping; taking a few courses on Excel and Office at a local college can give you all the background you need to get a good, secure office job, or as a receptionist. |
