Can any1 involved in nursing plz awnser this 4 me? |
i am about to study genrel nursing at uni bt wat i want to know is that at the end of my training will i be able to stay on to do midwifery? You would have to be an RGN before you did midwifery, yes. It would depend on if they offer it, and you would have to apply for a place alongside other RGNs. Yes - and read a dictionary Why not Yes, you can also specify that midwifery is where you would like to end up and your courses would be adjusted accordingly. Please don't spell like that at university or you will fail abysmally. There is enough room on here to phrase a question properly and type it in full, text speech actually violates the new terms of use! Yes you can, but the smart thing to do is when you get your nursing liscense specialize in mother baby care or labor and delivery that way you are expose to the career path that you want. This will also make the course easier as well. no you will need to do specialty training to do that like a ob licences which in only 2 yrs longer Not that I'm aware of. It is possible for a RGN (Adult) to train to become a midwife, funded by their employer, but there are very very few opportunities. If you are interested in midwifery you really ought to try to get onto a midwifery course straight away. You need to do an English course first. |
