Is it better to work in Non Profit or Profit Nursing Homes?

I see that some nursing homes are Non Profit and some are Profit. Is there a difference as far as working in them? Im thinking of being a CNA, and starting out in a nursing home if any around me provide training.

My mother in law was part-time at both.

The private nursing home paid more, but had more issues (general cheapness on patient care and politics)

The non-profit government run nursing home paid less but was a much better work environment since the governemnt is more open to scrutiny.

Profit nursing homes are about profit. They will do anything including cutting corners to get that profit
