Do you have to train in general nursing to be a pysciatric nurse? how long does it all take? What's a general nurse? Are they in the army? You'll need to learn how to spell 'psychiatric'... that could take a long time. It takes 3 years. Year one is the foundation year which gives you an insight into all aspects of nursing. The 2nd and 3rd year are branch based. Throughout the entire 3 years, you do placements, which they are about the same amount of time that you have to spend at uni. In order to become a RN of any type you must attend Nursing school No there are specific psychriatric nursing courses, it takes 3 years in total including clinical placements |
