Any CNA's/Nursing Assistants I need your help.....?

I just resigned from my desk job making a very
comfortable wage to start CNA training at a local nursing home next week. Even though it is quite a pay cut for me to do this, I believe this is what I am meant to do, I dont feel fulfilled at the end of my day now, and I know I will when I become a CNA and eventually an RN. I would appreciate any hints, suggestions or personal experiences that will prove beneficial for me in my new career. This can be anything from the training portion up to the hands-on experience itself. Thank you all so much.

I took my CNA classes in a nursing home about 10 yrs ago. It's been an amazing ride and I've enjoyed the different places I've worked. I work for an agency so I get to go to different hospitals and work different units. This is good if you want to be an RN as you get to build on your experience and it helps in that you can make up your mind which unit you like better.

If this is what you want to do - go for it. I would suggest that you also work in an acute care setting, basically in general hospitals, work different units for example: labor & delivery, pediatrics, medical surgical, cardiac, ER or even psych. You will build on your experience this way and it'll be a good foundation for when you become a nurse.

All the best!
