Nursing home question? |
Im starting working as a dietary assistant/cook aid at a small nursing home tomorrow training in. What should I wear? At the interview I was told scrub like clothes, but could wear khaki's with dark color shirts? What would you reccommend? Anyone know what people wear in this position or have worked there themsevles? I work at a Nursing Home and we have uniforms for each department. If no uniforms are required where you will be working, then I suggest scrubs, plain color, no prints. They are the most comfortable thing to work in and you will not be easily confused with a CNA or Nurse. Scrubs are normally worn and are very comfortable. One caveat-There is always food around in Nursing...scrubs dont allow you to watch your weight, be carefull!! |
