Can someone who wants to be a doctor, not a nurse, go to the Army's Nurse Training Summer Program?

(In Army ROTC)

Sure, why not if you have an interest in the healing arts that would be a good thing to do.

Its about loving the profession as a whole and not just the accessories, no one would ever have a summer program for doctors... Go ahead and do it.

In your position I would not. By tradition the Ring Knockers distrust officers that rise from the enlisted ranks on merits apart from attending West Point and so do Doctors as they
look at uppity nurses. Stay the course for M.D. and you can stand outside with them when they write their names in snow.
