I have finished my nurse training and now work in a Private Health Care clinic, should i leave please advise?

i respect my parents wishes most of the time,my friends say i am spoilt because they would rather i just ran the Solarium they bought me but i want to do something with my life more worthwhile,i have a nice life on the whole, car ,scooter, care of my parents i must add,its as if they want to keep me a girl and around as long as possible,i am 23 ,my older sister lives off our parents but i want to provide for myself please advise xx

Being a trained nurse in the private sector can lead to big money later on. You'll sure as hell never be out of work with a career like that.

Or you can chuck your professional life away and turn the open/closed sign around twice a day, and ask people who want to be orange whether they would like to buy moisturiser...

it's one thing to respect people's wishes, it's another to let them run your life.

Do what you need to make yourself happy x

Forge your own path in life and be proud of who you are!!

If you're 23 you should be out and doing your own thing alreay. Both you and your sister should grow up and start living your own lives instead of relying on your parents do do stuff for you.

CNA/LPN? Try private duty

It may be wise to stay for 2-3 years for the experience then move on. The diverse experience you can get while your young will pay off down the road. You will be more valuable and perhaps call your own shots. Good Luck to you.

Follow your heart. I work in the health care field and have for 16 years. It is a rewarding experience. If you feel you make a difference in the lives of the patients, you are doing the right thing for you. Tell them how you feel. You do not have to apologize for your true feelings. Best wishes to you.

If you spend your life pleasing other people and not yourself you are going to regret it big time. You only have one life and you need to do what you want to do. Your parents may pressurize you to do what they want, but you need to make a stand. Tell them you still love them and you will visit, but you need to get on with your own life. If they do not take this for an answer you may need help to break away. There is a counselling service near you I am sure. This would give you the support you need for a few weeks until your parents have got the message.

You are young and there are SO many options for you. It sounds like a little indepenence and individually is in order.Go For It! The fortune is out ther and you have to live by your decisions. I live in a medical community(sister to Mayo Clinic) and good medical professional are on the demand and you could make more money where there is a demand! Then you can see what the real world is about instead of being sheltered by mom and dad! Good luck to you and your endevours!

I think it's admirable you not only want to support yourself but also work in a field that gives you satisfaction of helping others. Sounds like you have great parents who are very well off and maybe just a little protective of letting their kids experience the world outside on their own. Talk to Mom first then Dad explain you want to experience supporting yourself and having your own responsibilities of paying bills, having a flat, etc. Make sure you tell them you appreciate their generosity but really want to feel independant for yourself.

You are very lucky and I'm sure they will support you and your choices and unlike most others you have your family as a saftey net should things become difficult or money problems arise. I wish you good luck and am proud of you as well for wanting these things for yourself!

Some friends, what are they doing for a living? Good for you. Be a nurse, live in the real world, and you will soon find out who the real people are, you will get real satisfaction and a sense of self-worth which these friends and sister will never acheive.

And your parents will be proud and boast about your success!

Oh, and leave home, be independent. That is the most valuable thing you can have, and you don't need money or fine things for it.

Good luck!

get a years experience
plan for your specialization
move to higher financial rewards
your aim should be higher than what your parents can give you so there is a feel of acheivement

if your parent are helping you gr8 otherwise be proud of yourself and make your own life.

think after 10 years wether you want to look back and say i did this and that and that or
i could have done this and that and that

keep working in the private sector, and you`ll do good for your self.. good luck

do what you feel is right, after all its your life. It sounds like your parents are scared that if they let go they will lose you, so reassure them that although you want to do your own thing and create your own life, you will still be the same daughter you always have been and you'll always be there. good luck.
