What do you learn in an state tested nursing assistant (stna) training class?

Each state has it's own criteria, but overall you will learn the specific duties necessary to aid a patient and nursing staff treating and caring for a patient.

You will learn to give the appropriate personal care to an individual; take vital signs , change the linens, how to bathe and lift a person in various states of mobility. You will learn how to take proper measurements for all sorts of fluids.
You will learn what things are legal/illegal within your state.
You will also learn the appropriate paperwork and abbreviations for that paperwork which may or may not be done on a computer.

I live in Ohio so it could be different but I learned everything from:feeding the resiednt, to bathing the resident, state laws.Transporting the resident, medical terminology, and some things about measuring on the metric system example cc's, kilos..
