Can anyone tell me .can u continue nursing training if you've been to prison? |
it's not me who needs to know so genuine answers only please ,so i can pass the info on , thanks . I am from a nursing family and work in prison if you are in the UK the answer is no I am afraid as it is a reportable profession and no criminal convictions are allowed except ofcourse for minor traffic offences and similar stuff. Unless the rules have changed, you can not get a nursing license if you have ever been convicted of a felony. Before writing State Boards, you have to provide a certified copy of your birth certificate and your social security number and the licensing board WILL check your background. you should consult with the admissions department of the school your friend is interested in. ekk I hope not. I don't want some jail bird working on me! what for ? . . . is this something to do with having to bend down and pick up the soap in the showers ? . . . believe it has much to do with when, what. where, why??? I very much doubt it...although they do have a process to see what it is you have been to prison for...so there is a chance. You also have to prove that you won't repeat what ever you have done wrong. x No!!! You can go to school, but you cant take the licensure if you have a felony, you need to be honest if it is not drug releated they may let you test. i think it may depend on the offence, and who ever it is would have to enquire at whatever university they wanted to do their nursing degree, good luck to them i dont think so beacuse nrses have to look after the public and hospitials cannot take any chances Join the military, request nursing as your Military Occupation specialty. You get the training, work in a military hospital, paid while you learn, continuing education during the entire enlistment. i wouldnt think so why do you ask? IT DEPENDS ON WHAT THE PERSON IS IN PRISON FOR IF ITS ANYTHING RELATED TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE OR BATTERY ANYTHING LIKE THAT THEN ABSOLUTLY NOT... no way Check with your State Board of Healing Arts. It would depend upon what they went to prison for. If the charge is violent crime, sex, or drug related, probably not. Otherwise I see no reason why they can't continue nursing training. well....theres a convicted burglar who comes in our local pub and he has been doing nurses training for 3 years while he was in prison,he went out every day on day release, and came out of prison with all his qualifications, and this was after all his crimes were against the elderly......and guess who paid for all this guys? From what I know, when you train to be a nurse before your training commences you have a health and police check. You can't be a nurse if you have a criminal record. |
