Life after death experience?

My pastor waited with a daughter & her husband in the hospital hallway as her mother had open heart surgery. The doctor soon emerged & sadly told them the mother had died.
They went into the operating room to pray. As my Pastor stood ready to read the prayer for the dead, he said he just kept being told to pray a prayer for healing instead. He fought this urge so as not to upset anyone, but finally, he prayed the prayer for healing. Everyone looked shocked, & suddenly a nurse shouted, "She's breathing!" & they hooked her back up to iv's and finished the surgery.
The doctor asked that the patient not be told what happened so as not to upset her. Everyone agreed.

The mother recovered and visited the pastor a couple of months later. She said,"Did I die when I had surgery, because if I didn't there is no way to explain where I was and that I saw my husband". She told her story and the pastor confirmed it.

Have any of you had a similar experience yourself or in your family?

I forgot to say that the mother said the place she was in was much more real than any place here and sooo bright and beautiful. She was welcomed there by her deceased husband and told she must return.

I have heard of many similar experiences..... and not all from Christians
which is why I believe that we ALL go to spirit realms after death

One time i thought my dad was dead, but then realised he was sleeping.

No offense... but that sounds REALLY fake. No, I have never had a similar experience but I think near death experiences are like a drug experience. When you deprive the brain of oxygen it begins to hallucinate.

Out of body experiences are NOT fake. Atheists say that this is your brain suffering damage, but let me ask them this:

If it's false, why are the experiences always the same.

the brain goes through chemical changes and she may have dreamed it under anesthesia

do not be mislead by these story's, it is against the truth of gods word the bible. "Dust you are and to dust you will return."

Read Genesis 2:17 'Here God states that you will positively die.' Then turn to Genesis 3:4 and read it 'Here Satan said you will positively not die. Which do you choose to believe?'

Ooooh, it's published in a book! Well then it must be true!

What nonsense. I've died three times, and nobody prayed. I'm still here. You'd be amazed at what the brain does when it thinks The Big Shutdown is happening.

There was a man that was in R&S several months ago. He had a link on his answer, and I clicked on it. It was the story of a man that went to hell after death and he called out to God in his agony, was saved, and returned to his body.

A lot of things he described about God and what happened to him was exactly the same things I have experienced. So I know his story was true.

I don't think all near death stories are true, but I now know some of them are.

The first question to ask is - Is it more likely that the laws of nature have been broken or that someone has told a lie? Or at least exaggerated the story?

Sometimes people are pronounced dead prematurely or because of faulty equipment and they aren't really dead. Also, when going through the trauma of being near death, the brain can do all sorts of weird things. It's also funny that Christians always see Christian type stuff, and Muslims see Muslim type stuff. It's all just the product of a very complex organ, the brain. No magical explanations needed.
