Most of their training is limited to working in the operating room, but they can find jobs working with surgeons, in central supply at the hospital, sales reps., labor and delivery, working for endoscopy companies, along with working in the OR. No. The technologist is much more limited in education and in workplace capabilities. The OR nurse is an RN who can work in any area of the surgical suite.
