What do pediatric doctors do? |
what dp nurses do? what are jobs at the hospitol that u dont have to give shots, where u only do check ups? Pediatric doctors take care of children. In order to become a doctor you will definitely have to use needles to reach all manner of body cavities, so if you have a needle phobia, the job of doctor is not for you. Nurses also give shots, especially pediatric nurses, since they give all the vaccinations. Medical jobs that don't involve needles would be x-ray tech, ultrasonographer, physical therapist, dietician, etc. kids No medical professions prevent you from giving injections or insert an IV (in vitro needle). You won't be accepted into a medical school if you are unwilling to inject a patient. Some professions such as an X-ray tech would minimise the amount of injections you would administer but before you'd specialise as an x-ray tech and espceially at medical school you'd be expected to give (and recieve!) injections. In the UK at most medical schools medical students inject each other for practise with harmless placebos. Rather than avoid your fear you'd be better off facing it and getting over it (or at least minimising it). I suppose you could get a job at a Health Department clinic doing only well-child care. In general, pediatricians care for children from birth to adulthood. care for children birth-18years old |
