Is a pediatric nurse and a pediatric nurse practitioner the same profession? If not, what are the differences? No. A nurse practitioner has an advanced practice degree, and has many more privileges than a regular RN. Many of them can write prescriptions, and see patients just like the doctor does. He/she must practice under the supervision of a doctor. A NP and a RN are two very different type of professions. Dr po- just want to clear something up. |
