What does a pediatric nurse practitioner do? |
more or less what do pediatric nurse practitioners do? and on average how much do they get paid a year? whats the difference between them and doctors? nurse practitioners do a lot of things doctors do. They get paid much better than RNs and BSNs, but not as much as doctors. I'd say about $40/hr, but it depends on where you live and where you work. They can prescribe and basically do most things doctors do. A NP is an RN with a masters degree that has specialized in pediatrics. With your masters you can own up to 51% of you business, although you must work under a doctors license. An MD makes 3-4 times more than an NP & has a lot more liability & education. You can check out salary.com for salaries in your area. |
