Please reply i think my doctor is very unprofessional i need opinions!? |
Ok so i have a 2 mm kidney stone they told me it was supposed to have passed by now but it doesn't feel as though it has! My physician reffered me to a specialist (urologist) well i went usually they say we need to do a pelvic exams but the urologist wording was i need to check your privates! That made me feel uncomfortable they don't talk like that, anyways i have him the benefit of the doubt need to take care of this well he sent me home with a appt on march 27 i called them yesterday and said look i'm in a lot of pain i feel as though i am being scrapped up inside my pelvis area this hurts!!! Can i get an appt sooner and get adecuate pain relief till then the nurse said she would call me back, they did an hour later saying he will not call you in a pain prescription you shouldn't be in that much pain if i was hurting that bad to go to the ER or back to my doctor i've done these things and they said i need to see a specialist, i told her there being unprofessional, opinions please I've had a ct scan january 2nd they found the 2 mm stone, i've been to the emergency room and they've said they can't do anything for me this is an emergency room and to go back to the family phyisican, my family physician says i need to go to my specialist but i really dislike him i called my doctor back and asked to get another referal to another doctor! They urologist office did call my a prescription in for hydrocodone and said sorry for the confusion, what am i supposed to do? What would you do this pain has been going on for 2 1/2 months now and there has been nothing done sides a ct scan? You opinion counts. Ask your doctor for a different specialist or speak to your insurance company and ask for a specialist. Don't go to a Dr that you feel uncomfortable with. Seek a second opinion... I hate doctors who play God with a patients pain !!!!!!! Dump HIM !!!!! UGH, "Privates" sounds like they are talking to a two year old. I would call your regular physician, and tell them what happened. Perhaps they can help, or find another specialist. I would ask to be reffered to a diffrent specialist in your medical group. SOunds like they are not giving you the care you need. But if there is an emergency .. go to the ER.. in the long run you might be able to sue the doc if he has not treated your illness in a improper way. Your urologist thinks you are stupid (that's why he doesn't use proper medical terminology) and he doesn't take your pain seriously (that's why he didn't give you pain medication). saying he will check your privates is not uncommon, it is a proffesional term that doctors are told to use in med school. so dont take offense, there was none meant by it as almost all doctors say it. go into the ER, that is all that you can do. go every day if you have to, but if they are turning you away with nothing but "come back this day" then you should try to see if your insurance covers another health care provider in your area. honestly i think they are unprofessional. but go to the emergency room. and ask ur doctor to refer u to some one else and tell him why. some places tend to become very unprofessional, people forget their job is to make it a comfortable for u as well, change urologist immediately Call your regular doctor and tell the nurse or doctor that the urologist that he sent you to was very unprofessional and you would like to see another urologist. Also, I wouldn't trust him, since he didn't even use medical terminology. YOu sound like you are behaving in an inaproprite manner to me stones hurt honey i feel so bad for you.2 1/2 months of suffering is too long.if you cannot pass the stone all they have to do is take a lazer and break the stone up and you will pass it in the form of gravel.the procedure is called lithotripsy.while they are playing games drink mega amounts of fluids and keep the stome moving do not let it stay in one place.push it out.a 2 mm stone should be passable.it will hurt though honey i wont lie to you.the sooner its over the better off you will be.if you do not like the urologist demand another doctor it is your right. |
