Does your workplace have cliques? |
I have been working in a doctor's office for 5 months. I am a replacement for a nurse named Candy. She was bubbly, outgoing, social and everybody's friend. She was fired by my doctor because she was a really crappy nurse. 5 months later not a day goes by that "the girls" dont talk about her. They exclude me from lunches, office decisions and everything else. I took friday off to take my son to a cardiologist. Today I was called into the office managers office and was written up for multiple negative reports from the other staff about me. ALL of it was totally false and I showed her proof of these reports being false. My doctor has told me and our office manager that I am the best nurse he has had in 20 years of practice and if he has to then he will go into private practice to keep me and then told her that she needed to stop her crap. Soooooooo now everybody it stepping lightly around me and going out of their way to be nice to me. Has anyone else ever experienced this? Actually there are 2 techs to do EEG's and EMG's and 2 other nurses. All female. 4 doctors. 3 male and 1 female. Yes women are real haed to work with. Just wish they would grow up!!!!! There have been cliques in almost every place of employment I've ever worked. It's all so foolish-it's like these people have never grown up and left high school! It amazes me how long (if ever) it takes for some people to act their age! nope every1 is freinds :) Yeah I was hired to replace a temp worker who never actually left. SO they just let us both work doing the job of one person. Needless to say everyone hated me and loved her. Shed been there forever and it was obvious that I was there to replace her. She was really nice but everyone else was not. YES. There are a group of people in my office who think they are better than everyone else, when in reality, they don't bother to get to know anyone else in the office. I am basically a loner when it comes to the cliques in my office, which I prefer than being in a clique, but I still feel a bit lonely when they all get together to have lunch and I'm eatting alone. I don't know about cliques but I will say this and you may not want to hear it but it is absolutely true when it comes to my experience - an office full of women is nothing but trouble. I would bet you anything not a single guy works in your office. |
