Hairy (female) private part .... Adults only pls!!?

I am 22 years of age and have VERY hairy private parts including butt. I am soooooo embarassed by this .. so much so that my partner for 6 years (hubby for 6 months :D) have not seen me in the nude. We have one daughter and another (not sure of the sex .. only two months preggos) on the way (don't ask .. it always has to be in the dark for me) ...

My question is .. is this normal???? This is always on my mind but more so now because I have my 8 week check up tomorrow and hubby wants to come & I know I'm going to have to get nude for my exam. Another thing I think about is .. what is my OBGYN saying about me .. or thinking for that matter .. and since hes a guy there is a female nurse looking over his shoulder while I get my exam ....

I have a 1 year old and honestly all your hub will be wanting to know is if you and his baby are ok! 2nd of all I have a hairy *** and I do brazillian waxing because I am a beauty therapist and I see hairy assz all the time some girls even ahve hair down to their knees thats how hairy they are. And the ob will have seen it all before. When I am doing a brazillian wax I dont pay any attention to how hairy someone is (thats not what I am concentrating on) I am just there to do my job. Who cares if you are hairy not your problem I am sure the ob and your husbnad (if he is anything like mine) have hair all over their *** aswell hehe

Fears about the appearance of body parts are quite common, but as this is an unnecessary fear that seems to be causing you some distress, why not just shave it off? As for the possible negative thoughts of your gnyo, relax. Women range from nearly bald to very hairy, and it's all normal. Don't let small fears like this ruin your life. Take charge! It's your body.

People come in a wide variety of body types. The absence or presence of body hair would fit into these variations.

My guess is that you are completely normal and are worrying unnecessarily. I'd also bet that you'd be surprised to learn that many other women have just as much hair as you do.

Last of all, as a practicing gynecologist, I can assure you that I/we don't give a second thought to whether or not you have a lot of pubic hair. Some women do, some don't. The only thing that concerns me is that I'm careful with the speculum and don't pull your hair.

And dear...I think you need to relax, re your hubby. This guy has been your lover for six years, I think he's going to be fine with your body, regardless of your hair issues. :)

Your totally normal being a hairy but if your uncomfortable wax! is the hair the only reason you wont let your own husband see you naked?? i think you have some serious self-image issues that you need to deal with - its ruining both of your sexual experiences (espesially as men get turned on massivly by sight!) pluss its gonna make it an issue - how did u actually give birth surely that wasnt in the dark?? doctors have seen much worse and odd things than a slightly hair pussy thou so really dont worry about them
your husband married you right? so he thinks your beautiful and im sure he thinks your beautiful naked to - just try it! and if your still freaked out waxing/shaving/hair removal cream is an option

3 things
1 - He is your husband you have been with him since you were 16. Don't you think that he loves you by now enough to over look hair. ? worst he can do is ask you to remove it. and some women enjoy sex more with no hair. Some men (I am one) prefer woman to not touch her pubes. its a person-to-person thing.
2. only quick fix is wax or save? maybe only wax butt and use scissors to trim
3. there is a female nurse don't worry plus he sees how many women naked a year? he probalby see alot worse. eg herpes yeast infections etc.



BTW EDIT: SURELY he has already had his hands down there and felt the hair.... if not his Old fella would have felt it. turn the lights on for him please :)

Try Waxing

The OB/GYN has seen all possible variations of how a woman is put together. I wouldn't worry a bit about him.

Before going for the exam you could trim the hairs short. I wouldn't shave the area. Pesky little shaving bumps are a big enough pain in the bikini area...

If you are worried about the excessive body hair then make an appointment with a dermatologist or endocrinologist. Or just ask your OB/GYN... There are some disorders that can cause more body hair than normal (PCOS).

I can understand why you are concerned since you are still (relatively) so young. As you get older stuff like this doesn't seem to matter nearly so much. I think its because we tend to start focusing on the boobs that are trying their best to touch our waistline!

As long as stuff is covered up and the loose parts are securely strapped into a proper position then I'm happy with the results... (Your expectations do decrease with age).

I take it your man has'nt lost his sense of touch, that being so a lot of men like hirsute woman and medics have literaly seen everything[THEY WOULD'NT GIVE YOU A SECOND GLANCE] Why don't you ask him which way he prefers you?

Go to a parlour and get waxing done. It's not unusual. But , it seems you feel embarrassed about it and your husband is ignorant of this. I don't think it's a great issue .
Even then waxing is best. You may find it difficult to do it yourself if it's for the first time. Take the help of a beauty parlour with experienced hands.You will be able to do the same later on .

Please don't worry about this. Hairiness is perfectly normal! We all have different degrees of hairiness. Your OBGYN has seen them all!

The easiest option is either cold waxing or a little nair. You could also try a Brazilian wax in a salon. Another option is laser hair removal, and you will have to go to a dermatologist for that, but they say it lasts longer than waxing.

If you don't mind my sharing this with you, my husband finds hairy privates to be a big turn on. I'm not terribly hairy, but I do let him enjoy what I have.

ask him as a joke if he mind hairy women and you will see what he likes and go with that

either way its your body - do waht makes you feel comfortable - why not read about it online and see what your feelings are
