Can u become an RN nurse in just 2 yeras? everyone says its takes 4...im so confused? |
wut type of schoolings...steps? You can get your RN in 2 years at a community college. The money though is whether you are an RN that holds a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree. nursing school is 2 yrs long. however, you need to do prerequisites prior to nursing school so it usually takes about 4 yrs altogether to get your RN Yea, you get you RN in about 22months. But you will be getting your prereqs out of the way and be going after your associates in the long run, so the prereqs(just 2 semistersworth) 22months, and the following supporting courses(history and such) will take about 3 1/2 years of all full loads. You can become an RN after completing a 2 yr. Associates Degree at a community college or a 4 yr. Bachelor's Degree at a college or university. However, a 2 yr. AD degree starts you immediately in nursing courses, and you are required to have a number of other courses, such as English, math, biology, etc. If you've had some college before, you probably already have most of these. If not, then you'll probably need to take these courses before starting your nursing program, and this can add another year onto your program. Some schools require you to take these before starting your nursing curriculum, not not all--some people take these courses at the same time as their nursing courses, but it is very hard to find the time to do this. Either way you go, good luck! depending on where you live they have a 2 year associates in nursing which is basics and a 4 year bachelor which is the same as the 2 year but with management classes. WIth a 2 year or 4 year you still get to do the board test and be an RN but with the 4 year you can go into management positions. Also you need to get the prerequisites which for full time students usually take a year. Good luck with your choice and hope it helped. |
