I was interested in becoming a RN Nurse and i wanted to know do RN's have to bath people?

Also is there a type of specialty that rn's can specialize in?

RNs will probably have to bathe people. Often though, in hospitals the nursing assistants will do it. But it can happen. Yes, there are nursing specialties. For example a surgical nurse or a pediatric nurse or a geriatric nurse.

RN - Registered Nurse and yes you have to bath people

Yes they do and if you are squeamish about bathing be assured they have other tasks that you really won't like!

Anytime you are a nurse you can be called upon to - get ready for it - NURSE people which includes bathing them.

If you don't want to bathe people but still be an RN then get into the administrative end.

Good Patient Care -------all staff must be hands on ------so YES RNs have to bathe ppl

Yes, you do. And insert catheters, and give enemas. Anything needed to take care of people. You certainly can specialize -- heart disease, emergency room, etc.

Being a nurse is such a rewarding job! it feels great if you can help people or somehow touches people's lives and seeing them as a unique individual. Simple things like bathing or feeding etc. a patient is part and parcel of a nurses touch. You have to have a passion of being a nurse rather than just the sake of the title "RN". You can specialize in any sort of speciality if you wish to! there's no hindrance of you to specialize....well, this is my opinion and views as a nurse myself! I too, i'm specializing soon for Urology!
