HONESTLY TELL ME for ALL YOU nurses out there-ARE RN NURSE LIFESTYLE GOOD-BIG HOUSE, NICE CAR days OFF ETC?

Ok i wanna be a nurse..a rn nurse..but i was wondering..is the lifestyle good..i mean iz it hard. Can you get a big house, a nice car,,and spend enuff time with your family . Can you get all that if your a nurse? Is the job worth it for that...This is for nurses or if you knwo anybody that is a nurse..thankx

I worked in a hospital and knew a lot of nurses. One day my friend who was a nurse called the unit and asked me to open her pay voucher and tell her how much she had made. I about choked, I had no idea how much money that nurses actually made, It was unbelievable. I kidded her for a few days about being rich, and it kind of embarrassed her, she knew I made a lot less. They make a lot of money, but really, they don't even get paid enough for the work that they do. Most of them work like dogs in hospitals that are terribly understaffed. They deserve every penny that they get and they work their a$$es off for it.
