Radiology Technician?

I have been thinking about different careers I want to do. I am interested in the medical field but not so much with dealing with the inside of the body. (no guts! somewhat weak stomach!) And I panic too easily to be a nurse. I am terrible at math and I have never taken Anatomy or Chemistry so I don't know if I am good or not. Does an Radiology Technician require a lot of science and math? Please help by suggesting more careers as well.

There is nothing easy about radiologic TECHNOLOGY....not 'technician' (technician denotes a limitation in scope of practice, and is not interchangeable with technologist). If you consider algebra, pre-cal, physics, radiobiology, and contrast procedures easy, then you must not use it or study it often. I'm also interested in the same field, and have studied it extensively. From what I know, you will deal with the human body, inside and out. In my mind, rad technologists are some of the most knowledgeable when it comes to anatomy. Not too many medical fields can top them when it comes to that. In addition to that, they do get pooped on, vomited on from time to time, and they perform procedures like barium enemas, where they insert a contrast agent into a patient's rectum in order to view and photograph the GI tract. I've read stories from techs that had to 'clean up' after a patient who had trouble holding the barium in. If you plan on working in the OR or ER, you can count on seeing blood and guts. There are loads of allied health positions to choose from if you have a weak stomach: physical therapy, occupational therapy, phlebotomy, dental hygenist, dental assistant, medical lab tech, cytotechnology, histotechnology, pharmacy technician, the list goes on and on. It really depends on your disposition and personality. Some people are better off working in the lab, and others are better at interacting with patients. Do some soul searching, and I'm sure you will find your way. Good luck!

I'm not totally sure if it requires alot of science and math but I would think it does.
I work in healthcare (somewhat) and Radiology is a very good field :) Radiologist are in great demand

My Mother has been an ultrasound technician for over 20 years. It is a great career, she makes soooo much money. She always tried to get me to go into it but I not so into dealing with patients. Consider ultrasound. Pay is great, training isn't long. You will have to take anatomy classes, as you would for radiology. But, you will use far less math than you would in radiology.

Or think about x-ray. That is a very easy great paying job!
