Nurse or radiology tech?

which is a better choice for a career? nurses are under alot of stress, but I really enjoy helping people. rad tech sounds good also as one can easily move up into higher positions.

You absolutely DO have to deal with sick patients as a tech. Usually techs make less money, and do ultimately receive supervision from a nurse anyway. The time it takes for licensing is the same, but if you want to move into supervision or something like an NP speciality, you'll obviously need an RN, or BSN to pursue the latter.
Consider also, how many different arenas you can work in as a nurse. The running joke is you do nothing as an OR nurse, which isn't true, I'm just saying...

nurses are not always under a lot of stress, that would depend on the dept you worked in. there are a lot more nursing jobs and they pay a lot better. my wife hospital is short staffed on nurses and they are offering RN's a 6,000 dollar sign on bonus and starting salary of 53,000 / yr.

RN isn't that stressful, Stressful is being a CNA, you get all the crap jobs - litterally - RN's pretty much sit on there bum and get paid 3 times more than CNA's and fill out paper work and dispense meds. Radiology would be cool. I was being a bit sarcastic above, RN can be pretty hard, you don't have to deal with the sick patients by being a rad tech. So, in a sense thats easier, because working with sick people who are dying can be depressing and stressful. I hope you find your calling :)

I'd go with rad. tech. Nursing sucks, unless you get a perfect position.

It all depends on what you want to spend your time doing. Patient care, or procedures. As for dstrbds response that nurses dont do anything...if its so easy, why are you still a CNA?
