Radiology or Nursing? |
Radiology or Nursing? Nursing? I can't say that I would recommend it. Not for everyone anyway. The hours are crap. The workload is horrendous. You've everyone breathing down your neck. The pay...the pay is ok, depending on where you live. You WILL always have a job. If you go beyond a bachelor's degree...or find a niche that you enjoy, then it's an ok job. Yes, I am a nurse...have been for a long time. I wish I could say it's all rosy, but it's not. I cannot, however, imagine doing anything else. I say nursing. After years of experience a nurse will gain better benefits than a radiographer and will have better hours and pay. Nursing RN you get way more money and you will be able to get a job anywhere since there is always a huge demand for nurses. Radiology is a medical field. That means 4 years of college, 4 years of medical school, and competing for a difficult residency to get into. A radiologist is a doctor. If you mean radiology tech vs. nurse, be a nurse because you'll be able to do so much more and have a lot more choices in your career. Radiolody !!! |
