Why are people so stupid? |
i am a registered nurse so i have seen how dangerous it can be to be so obsessive about losing weight, why is it you get some normal people wanting answers for health issues, then 9 out of 10 it is stupid little girls saying " how can i lose weight" "how can i get rid of my belly", do they not know how easy it is to slip into anorexia, what are your veiws My view is several repeat their postings which would suggest that they are trying to get a reaction out of us the users. If they are serious about wanting help, they will get it from professionals and those that want to become anorexic are young and don't understand that you can not just become anorexic, lose weight and stop when you want to. Out of the couple anorexics I knew they hid the fact not post in the web for everyone to see. Beside we can tell a true anorexics what they should do but they wont listen, if they had the mind to control their disease they would not be anorexic didnt graduate high school, just idiots Sheep. who care. Are most blonde? My views are that this is such a superficial world, that young girls feel society will view them as social leopars unless they have the "ideal" body type. This is so dangerous for their young, inexperienced minds...that is why it becomes such an obsession. I definitely blame society, not the poor girls. Peer pressure is such a difficult thing, too. Not to mention Hollywood. Sing it sister!! i also find them stupid....... they should b happy the way they look anorexia is tha stupidest ever........ it kills people and y????? because these people r nuts in the head and think they r fat when they r 85 pounds................ u r right people r stupid In my opinion, health isnt' emphasised enough in today's society nd in its place, there is a terrible obsession with weight loss. People don't realize that sometimes you don't need to lose weight and i'm not sure where this unhealthy obsession stems from. I think that at least one nutrition course should be mandatory in high school and that there should be more courses like that available throughout our education. thats the problem people don't know nor do they understand... they need to be informed-please don't call proplr stupid after all you are suppose to be a professional-offer facts or reading materials to people/one day they will come back and thank you for it; people today need help and not just physically-good luck to you and may you have a bright future whoa.....i don't know if THEY are stupid or just uninformed.......Clearly YOU have the upper hand because you are a REGISTERED NURSE....and not a 13yr......If you want to assist people......probably a good idea would not be to start off calling people stupid...... my views are that some of the girls are more concerned about their weight and they do not know about the danger in eating disorders instead they would have to find out the hard way and suffer the consequences. Anarexia and bulimia is very easy to slip into. i am a registered nurse also and totally agree with you For a culture that is so weight-conscious, you would think there would be simple answers to such questions. Obesity is rampant due to convenience as opposed to health. Girls think they have to look like Barbie to be acceptable. Guys think she has to look like Barbie before he'll even speak to her. Celebrities strut their augmented wares like little sluts. Magazines tout women who have spent thousands on plastic surgery. What else can we expect? It doesn't have anything to do with the girls but the pressures society puts on them to look a certain way. People like Lindsey Lohan, Victoria Beckham and Nicole Richie are always in the public eye and if a young girl sees how people who are so thin are being idolized, it only makes them turn around and think that they are not right for fitting that same image. I don't think it necessarily are little stupid girls who are saying this. I have read in a magazine about a treatment center in Florida who has a variety of ages of patients. Actually they are going to be showing a movie on HBO on the 14th of this month called Thin. In this article there was a patient that was also an RN. Even though she knew better and counseled her own patients about this disease, she also fell prey to it. I think that it can hit any gender and any age. If you are a registered nurse, then you know the fascination that little girls and some women(and men) have with the lives of the celebrities. I just wish that those celebrities would get up and talk about their problems with weight and other life issues instead of pretending everything is perfect. Like how Jennifer Aniston is unable to conceive because she was so thin for so long. I don't think it's easy to slip into anorexia. I have plenty of registered nurses in my family, and although nurses do see PLENTY of stupid people and things happen in the ER and such, I still don't think anorexia is something you can easily fall into. I'd love to lose about 10 more pounds, but I could never go a day without eating, let alone weeks and months. I think people should spend less time worrying about their weight, unless they're dangerously overweight, and spend more time enjoying who they are. I think it's jus stupid how obsessed people are with being thin, and with celebrities. they aren't educated enough. girls think just because they have some extra chubby, it means they are fat. if they would just be educated to know what a healthy weight is then thing would probably be different. cuz they need to know, that it's not really all about weight, it's about being healthy I think that the desire of many people to be so thin and "beautiful" is simply a snapshot of what our society is like today. It's sad. Maybe their parents raised them to think they are fat. I have a grandmother that constantly comments on my weight, actually when I was 15 and hit 110, she said that I should not gain another pound. Now, I weigh 170, in a size 12, and only want to lose a little weight because I'm only 5' and I want to have more energy and fit into my 10's and not have to buy new clothes. I eat healthy and exercise. Maybe kids need to be taught how it works instead of the EXTREME ways of doing things. They need to make it a lifestyle instead of a diet. TOO MANY FRIKIN DIETS!!! Maybe it is because we are in such a "fast" society (fast food, ready wear, quick service...etc..) This has been on going for decades...'we' all want instant gratification. Relax and hold your horses lady. The last time I looked there are a lot more fat women out there than skinny ones. America is the most obese country in the world. This includes our women. Some Young girls have a lot of emotion on their body some times. Even boy do. They just have to set a schedule for wat they eat. If the schedule has less foods, then they need to add foods that are filling and also healthy for the human body. If they don't want to eat their body will go to stavation mode. And there so stupid they dont even do anything about it nature is cruel... and so are you . i like that :) Why are nurses stupid? Every time I visit a hospital, I see nurses outside smoking or eating lots of carbs when they are overweight. |
